When You Arrive

Getting Organized
When you arrive, please keep the students on the bus while an organizer checks-in with the Calabogie Staff. You can do so at the Ski Lodge’s Snow School Desk.

Rules & Regulations
A Calabogie Peaks Adventure Centre Supervisor will go onto your bus to address the students and give some ‘housekeeping rules’ for the day.

Getting Ready
We request that personal ski and snowboard equipment is left outside the Lodge on the equipment racks. Your school will be assigned to a designated area for lunch and to store belongings. Please keep participants’ belongings together and out of the way of foot traffic.

Getting Situated

Students Without Rentals
For students who brought their own equipments and do not need rentals, they are to be directed to the Beginner Bowl (Carpet Lift) for Testing & Lessons. All students must pass a skill test. Instructors will give out Calabogie Peaks RFID Lift Tickets once a student passes. Students unable to pass will be given a beginner lesson.

Students With Rentals
Students needing rental equipment will be sent to the Rental Shop in Groups by a Calabogie Peaks Staff Member. They will receive equipment based on the information from the e-Roster. Please ensure they collect the correct sized boots on accoring to the e-Roster and receive a helmet. They cannot switch between skiing and snowboarding on the day of the field trip. Students must be aware of their rental equipment number during the day and must return the correct equipment at the end of the day.

On The Slopes

Practice Time
In addition to the formal lesson at the beginning of the day, students will be participating in 1 hour of PRACTICE TIME. Schools are responsible for organizing their supervisors and monitoring their students during this time. This time is meant for students to build on the skills introduced during the lesson in a safe but less formal setting.

Teachers Responsibilities
One Teacher or chaperone must be in the Lodge at all times. Please be readily avaiable to students in the case of an injury or if personal attention is required.

Students On The Slopes
Students will be educated on appropriate runs for their abilities. Ensure all students are wearing helmets – safety, fun, and learning is a priority for all. If you are in doubt as to how you can help during the day, Calabogie Peaks Instructors (identified by the grey and orange jackets) or School Coordinators can help!

Before You Depart

2 for 1 Vouchers
Every student gets a “2 for 1” coupon on their first 2023-2024 season visit to Calabogie Peaks that they can bring back anytime that season. Please collect these coupons before you leave from the Adventure Centre or Snow School Desk.

Confirm Invoicing
When you come to grab the coupons, please confirm with the Adventure Centre Staff how many students came that day, how many needed rentals, if you rented lane space, and other invoicing details.
