Solatchki-Quiroz as the new Executive Chef of Calabogie Peaks Resort, bringing his global experience, culinary artistry, and vibrant personality to the Peaks.
A Chef with a World of Flavor
Chef Jeffery’s journey is as unique as the dishes he creates. Born just east of Montreal to a Honduran mother and Bulgarian father, Jeffery’s roots are steeped in multicultural influences.
His passion for food began early, earning recognition in high school competitions like Junior Iron Chef and ethnic chili challenges. After studying culinary arts at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Jeffery embarked on a remarkable career spanning 22 years.
From his early days in Ontario to six adventurous years in Alberta, Jeffery has left his mark on the culinary world. He catered for NHL Hall of Famers, Leonardo DiCaprio, and even Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In Whistler, BC—his “adult version of Neverland”—he helmed events for Red Bull Crankworx and Tough Mudder, showcasing his talent on Canada’s biggest stages.
Now, Calabogie Peaks Resort is proud to welcome this seasoned chef to the heart of the Ottawa Valley. Jeffery brings a love for snowboarding, backcountry touring, and outdoor adventure that perfectly aligns with the Peaks lifestyle.

Chef Jeffery is already hard at work creating an exciting new menu for Canthooks Restaurant. The dishes incorporate familiar, comforting elements, presented with a refined or contemporary twist.
