We were at Calabogie today and had a FABULOUS time. You were extremely efficient with getting the students on the slopes. Everyone had a very positive experience - thank you! :-)

I'm bringing my family on Sunday. Let it snow, snow, snow!

Conditions!

I was just up at your hill today for a day of snowboarding with my school and i was VERY impressed with the conditions of the trails. I have been to many hills all through quebec this season and you had by far the best conditions and groomed runs out of all the hills. I would just like to say good job on the grooming and maintenace of the hill!

Thanks,

Mark

Spent Family Day at Calabogie -- absolutely the best day ever skiing. The conditions are fabulous, the weather (thanks, guys) was absolutely gorgeous (spring skiing at its finest in February) and I love the new runs!

What lovely ski days we had this year! All 3 days were wonderful for us – weather-wise, of course, but also because it was a true pleasure to work with both of you. I truly appreciate the efforts and lengths that you go to in order to ensure safety on the hill, especially staying one step ahead of students who don’t want to cooperate and risk others’ safety. I also appreciate that you understand how seriously we take safety and supervision with our school routines and the number of supervisors that we bring on each trip. We really saw an improvement in all of our students’ abilities & confidence with three solid days on the hill.

Just wanted to let you know that we (3 adults and a pair of high school students from Germany) had a great time on Calabogie's tubing hill this afternoon. The lift attendants and top-of-run staff were cheerful and helpful, while still paying attention to rider safety and keeping things moving smoothly. The beautiful weather made for a great time too; what did you do to create that?

Not being much of a skier, I had never been to Calabogie Peaks before. I'm glad I went today.

Regards,
....Mary

“Best Kept Secret”

Absolutely love skiing here. Ski and snowboard programs have great instructors , we go every March break. My whole family learned to ski here, no long line ups and more vertical than Blue Mountain! Can enjoy skiing or boarding without hoards of people crashing into you! Cozy pub atmosphere filled with awesome aussies!! (The best poutine ever!)

“Amazing Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

We attended a family birthday party for an 80 year old over the Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend We had approximately 50 people in age from maybe 3 to 85. Could not have gone better Calabogie Peaks is big enough we all found something to do for 3 days that interested us yet it was small enough to have a family feel and that the younger kids were safe moving around. An example is the resort is on a ski hill so they turned on the lift and for $10.00 you could ride it up and enjoy great views. The on-site management was amazing it was a couple Liz and Paul Murphy I am not sure who did what but they were always in the back ground making sure things were done well. We were on the second floor and had a view over a golf course that is part of the complex and could see the water in the background. Rooms were big and quiet. They did an excellent buffet meal and the chef even used his grandmothers 100year old plus knives to carve!!

Calabogie Team,

I wanted to send you a BIG thank you from the Lixar Team.  Your staff, the beautiful environment and the warm welcome certainly contributed to a very productive retreat.

Thank you as well to Pierre for guiding us to your cabin.  It was a lovely setting – a perfect place to strategically plan.  The team members are still reminiscing about it.

Many thanks again!

Shelley Fraser and Bill Syrros, and the Lixar team.

PS – the Motorcycle Ride home was wonderful, too.  Thanks for the maps.

As you are aware, the Ottawa Chapter of Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers hosted our annual National Rally in Ottawa with in excess of 300 CMC attendees from across Canada. With 600 Members in Ottawa and over 7000Members in Canada, CMC is Canada's largest 100% Canadian riders club.....there are no fees.....a third of our riders are female....and it does not matter what you ride as long as you ride it in a safe and respectful manner.

Now that the Rally is over, our team of volunteers can put our feet up and relax a little, but it is our intent to re-visit your Resort sometime in the future to enjoy the scenery and incredible roads in the area. We look forward to seeing you and your Team Members once again.

On behalf of the Officers and Members of Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers, we wish to express our sincerest thanks to you and your Team for the professional manner in which our riders were treated when we visited your Resort Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st. A reserved parking lot at the beach, just for motorcycles, awesome food served with a smile, a seating area outside for our riders and of course, spectacular weather that you likely ordered "just for us". Based on the positive feedback we received from our Members, the Rally was a huge success and your Company played a very important part in this and your contributions were recognized during our evening festivities at the Rally campground in Ottawa.

We would highly recommend your Resort to any fellow riders based on the quality of service and consideration offered by your Team.

Sincerely,
Ken MacKenzie

Dear Adventure Centre,

On behalf of my family and our friend’s family we would like to sincerely thank you for a truly wonderful experience at Calabogie last weekend.  This was the first time our kids tried skiing and it was so important to us that they had a positive experience as we, the parents, are eager to get back into skiing!  And the staff and instructors did just that!

I would like to commend the adventure centre for taking a genuine interest by noticing the young age of our kids and offering extra hands on site to insure they got the attention they required on the hill (and in the rental room!).  The instructors were fantastic and were always available even after the lessons to help out a bit!  Even with the rainy weather everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves!

We skied with the kids for a while afterwards and my highlight was taking my 6 year old daughter on the chairlift for her first time and skiing down the green run with her!  A very memorable experience for this father!

They also loved the tubing which we did on the Sunday morning!

You are a wonderful crew that obviously love what you do and we cant thank you all enough for such a great time!  We will definitely be back and hopefully skiing more runs next winter!

To Owner, Staff, everyone at Calabogie Peaks and most of all: to the fabulous Volunteers with the Adaptive Ski Program/CADS Program,
THANK YOU! When we brought Anthony home from the hospital 5 years ago we wondered what our future held? We wondered what could we do as a family? We knew there may be limitations on what he was capable of doing! Our questions were answered this winter season. Our very first day on the bunny slope was exhilarating. The smile on his face has only grown since that first day! With the help from his Volunteers and a sit-ski, Anthony now rides the chairlift to the top of the Ol K&P, and has even skied like a pro down Shantyman! He tells his volunteers, Do-Do-Do! ADAIN, ADAIN! (Not a spelling error, that's how Anthony says Go & AGAIN). Today was his last day on the slopes, and we had a great day!! Anthony was joined by his Nana, his sister, his God-Parents and his very proud Parents! Although we are sad to see the end of this season, the experience was phenomenal! We are looking forward to hitting the slopes next season, and with all we were given this season we would like to give back! Mommy has decided that she would like to become a volunteer! We have been given so much in such a short time, and can't wait to see everyone again next year!!! Our hopes for next season are that we may see Anthony up on a pair of skis, going faster than lightening down the slopes! From the bottom of our hearts we THANK YOU!!!

"I brought my 19 year old son with me today for his 2nd ever skiing experience. I was very proud of how he took to one of his old man's favorite winter activities, and he had a great day. That is until disaster struck and he took a spill on whistlin Paddy. I had to write about this because of the professionalism of the Ski Patrol response to my son's situation. Almost immediately there was a full evac team at his side to get him off the hill and delivered into the hands of EMT and off to the hospital. It was an outstanding job! Thank you all! Jake is fine now; just bruised a little but swears he had a great day, and is already asking when we are coming back"

"A couple of weeks ago my wife and I had the wonderful experience of having a Ski School lesson at your mountain.  Our instructor Kevin, was delight to be instructed by and certainly a gentleman with great knowledge and personality. What was special about Kevin's abilities and knowledge was that he took the time to instruct both my wife and I who ski at different abilities.  To top this off we were both learning for the first time on Parabolic Skiis.  It was indeed a joyful experience and one that Kevin should be commended for.

Secondly to this, I would like to point out to you that we came to the Calabogie Ski School on the recommendations from every ski retailer from Ottawa to Mt.Tremblant.  Your school is very highly respected in the skiing community in our area and further.  We congratulate you and your staff on " First Class" operation.

Keep up the great work and I am sure we will be seeing you again soon."
