In the kitchen since he was 14 years old, Rob Butler, Calabogie Peaks’ new executive chef, brings his love of the Ottawa Valley to every dish he prepares. An award-winning chef, restaurateur, frequent culinary columnist, and chef for high-end private clubs and corporate events, Calabogie Peaks is pleased that Rob has chosen Canthooks as his new home.

Perhaps best known for his barbeque skills and “Best Sauce in Canada”, you might find Rob tromping through farmers’ fields looking for the finest that farm-to-table can bring. Rob says “It’s important to meet the farmers and walk in the food. Fresh ingredients always win.”

Rob’s vision for Canthooks is upscale comfort food and will include full menus alongside smaller fare sharables. Menus will embrace the seasons and be full of delicious fresh and organic foods from the Valley. He also looks forward to hosting regular pairing meals with craft beers and wines from Ontario vineyards.
