Winter Adventures
“Bear Claw Trail”
See actual claw marks in mature beech trees on the way to a lookout over Calabogie Lake. This adventure is offered on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Reservations must be made two days in advance. Dial ext. 1705 to reserve.
Includes: guide, snowshoe rental, light snack and transportation to and from trailhead.
Only $19 per person!
“The Lost Valley”
Trek through the Lost Valley of Calabogie to a clear lookout over Calabogie Lake. This adventure is offered on Saturdays. Reservations must be made two days in advance. Dial ext. 1705 to reserve.
Includes: guide, snowshoe rental, light snack and transportation to and from trailhead.
Only $39 per person or $34 per person with multiple people.
“Sky Walk”
Ride the Lakeview chairlift to the top of the mountain and be guided along the Skywalk Trail and look out over beautiful Madawaska valley! This adventure is offered on Mondays. Reservations must be made two days in advance. Dial ext. 1705 to reserve.
Includes: guide, snowshoe rental, light snack and sky ride.
Only $49 per person or $44 per person with multiple people.
“Full Moon Night Walk"
Experience the magic of snowshoeing at night and see with new eyes! Offered on the eve of the full moon of each month. Reservations must be made two days in advance. Dial ext. 1705 to reserve.
Includes: guide, snowshoe rental, light snack and transportation to and from trailhead.
Only $44 per person or $39 per person with multiple people.
Call the Adventure Centre at ext. 1705 to reserve and find out the trip times! Adventures are available from December 29, 2007 – March 23, 2008.
Cancellation Policies:
Cancellations MORE than 14 days prior to booking: may receive a full refund
Cancellations WHITHIN 14 days of reservation date may receive a credit for that amount for the current lesson/adventure season.
Cancellations on the day of reservation will receive no refund or credit and must rebook.
Any credited lesson/adventure not taken by the end of the current season will be canceled and payment forfeited.
A signed release form is required of all participants in Backcountry Adventures. Participants 17 and under require a parent/guardian signature. Advanced reservation required.
