Job Objective:
To provide exceptional customer service in a fast paced atmosphere. To demonstrate courteous and professional mannerisms towards customers/team members at all times. With excellent attention to detail, the Catering/Banquet Manager will oversee all aspects of function and event logistics including conferences, weddings/group bookings and other on-site events.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assures the success of all banquet events while maintaining high standards of service.
- Inspect rooms for assigned functions, making certain every detail of the set up is complete.
- Schedule appropriate number of servers/bartenders to cover function, assigns individual tasks.
- Prepares and maintains the event duty sheet.
- Hosts pre-conference meetings with departmental reps to review event duty sheet and event requirements i.e. sales, operations, housekeeping, front desk, etc.
- Prepares a post event summary of observations and recommendations.
- Coordinates and participates in taste tests and any on-site client meetings.
- Make arrangements with suppliers for supplies.
- Supervises setting tables and other food services.
- Serves as onsite contact to host of function and coordinates last minute details.
- Identifies gaps between customer expectations and planned service delivery and resolves with sales/customer.
- Identifies areas for improvement for Food & Beverage.
- Supervises cleaning and post function clean up. Will ensure that inventory and equipment are properly stored.
- Set work schedules and train staff, supervise staff and monitor staff performance.
- Assist with daily operations of Resort restaurant including serving when required and supervision of service staff.

- Verifying all receipts and days sales for dining room to ensure accuracy
- Correcting any errors and finalizing day’s sales
- Verifying all paperwork and entries into reservations system for Front Desk to ensure accuracy and correcting any errors
- Posting any necessary charges prior to audit
- Running audit and verifying all charges have been posted and audit is balanced
